Allow the Breath…

Breath is not just oxygen supply mechanism. It is the vehicle of Prana – Vital energy. If it was just oxygen then it will be tough to explain the variations of vitality, clarity etc that we come across in people. Higher the quality of Prana, its reception, protection, dispensation, better the emotional, mental & physical state. All wellness is about this key aspect in living. Stress is vitiation in Prana.

Each person receives, processes & exchanges Prana via his/ her thoughts, environment, speech & actions. The critical hidden aspect in quality of Prana is the mental self-talk, beliefs held, habits, quality of interactions with others and choices of consumption. Mind it consumption happens via all the 5 senses, not just via food.

Stress can also be looked as vitiation of Prana which is circulating in the 72000 non physical energy channels in the body, forming our mental, emotional, physical composition. Greater the vitiation, higher the chance of manifestation of disease (mental/physical).

Unlike popular belief, Yoga is not just body work or techniques of pranayama or sitting quietly believing its meditation. Underlying purpose of all practices in yoga is cleansing & enhancing the prana circulating within. All 8 limbs of yoga are preparations & practice towards this singular purpose. in another article i will talk about the crucial, unheeded limbs.

Every organization wants its employees to do their job well & every individual wants to operate well through life as per his/her role/ responsibility. Healthy prana makes this possible. Talking about yoga or prana is not about leaving the society and sitting on mountain top, rather the whole deal is about functioning the best possible one can, right where one is. Healthy Prana makes this possible.

The energy channels in and around us are very subtle. Allowing the breath to flow freely, intelligently, enables Prana to restore clarity, health & vitality from within. Every cell within the body needs Prana & is reachable by Prana. Learning how to allow breath is learning how to make way for Prana.

In yoga its believed, number of breaths are counted, how one uses every breath, is the choice.
